Sharpe’s Gye Salmon Net
Sharpe’s Gye Salmon Net is a robust and durable net that has been in use for almost 100 years. With knotless meshing that minimises in-river tangles and potential damage to fish, it is ideal for catching salmon and trout. Available in 20 or 27-inch diameter options, this net features a sliding handle and high-tensile aluminium metallic components that increase its strength, whilst the cast alloy powder-coated block also reduces wear and tear.
Description
Sharpe’s Gye Salmon Net is almost 100 years old and – like the rest of Sharpe’s products – is well known for its robustness. Whilst Scottish salmon may be declining, there aren’t many places that could have more relevant experience when it comes to building salmon or trout-specific nets. The knotless meshing is superb for minimising in-river tangles, maximising your fishing time and reducing potential damage to the fish.
The sliding handle is great for transportation, and whilst the net is incredibly lightweight, it’s very durable and capable of landing some serious salmon. Or any fish for that matter. Allegedly this net has been tested to hold fish of up to 30lb, which is a remarkable feat of engineering and makes it one of the best fishing nets around.
