Description
Daiwa’s J-Braid X8 is one of the best all-around braided lines on the market. With a wide variety of breaking strains, colourways and diameters, this Japanese-made braid is some of the best and most readily available lines. As with all Japanese-made lines, the sensitivity-to-power ratio is largely unmatched and whilst the breaking strain doesn’t reach the same heights as the Spectra Power Pro Braided Fishing Line, it is more adept at fighting smaller fish.
The J-Braid X8 is named like so because it is built with eight strands of tightly woven fibres – much like Spiderwire’s Stealth Smooth Braid – resulting in a smooth, round profile that glides effortlessly through guides and casts with precision. An all-around superstar.

FAQs
Yes, Daiwa J-Braid X8 is a good braided fishing line. One of the better value Japanese-made braided lines with excellent sensitivity and strength, we use it for trips all-around the world and it stands up.
Whilst both the Daiwa J-Braid and Daiwa J-Braid Grand are Japanese-made braided fishing lines, the Grand X8 is a tighter, slightly stronger braided line with a higher abrasion resistance, as it is stretched when manufactured.
