The netting is designed to withstand serious-sized fish and any abrasions that could occur from a thrashing predator. The special rubber lifting grip above the spreader block makes hefting a large urban pike from canals or quays onto the bank much easier. If you’re in the market for a good value, very strong net capable of handling 20lb + pike, the Beast Net is an excellent option and one of the best fishing nets available.
The net is quite large and not necessarily the easiest to transport. If you’re looking to target urban pike, perch and zander (but aren’t expecting a monster) then the Savage Gear Street Fishing Net may be a better option.
