The purpose-built increased interior volume is made for a more comfortable fit for those of you (like myself) who have wider feet.
If you’re a wider-footed fisherman, then this shoe really comes into its own. Comfortable, robust and great for a variety of weather conditions, if you are only willing to spend around £100 on a pair of fishing boots, the Orvis Encounter Wading Boot is one of the best boots you can buy. Whilst it isn’t the best in terms of managing all-terrains and treacherously slippy fishing trips (enter the Snowbee Rockhopper Spike Sole Wading Boots or Simms Freestone Wading Boot), it is one of the best all-round fishing boots.
