Cambridge Kayaks Dog Fish Fishing Kayak has an excellent balance between stability and performance. A real all-around sea fishing kayak that comes in under £700. Excellent value and is a brilliant option for beginner and intermediate kayakers. A load capacity of 200kg is ample for a single-person kayak, providing more than enough space for provisions for long trips. Whilst the kayak’s width isn’t the largest (that accolade goes to Cambridge Kayaks Big Catch Fishing Kayak), at 76cm it provides reasonable stability. Although not what we’d recommend if your primary concern is having the ability to conquer all conditions.
Despite being packed with features – multiple rod holders, footrest, lift-up rudder-system for traversing all terrains – it’s relatively lightweight at just 30kg. perfect for longer trips and expeditions by yourself. It does come complete with a paddle too, which at this price is another excellent feature.
